We are simply Christians - nothing more, and nothing less.  No denominations, no "brand names," no man-made titles or creeds.  Not Catholic.  Not Protestant.  Not Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses.  Just followers of Jesus Christ.  Because we are sometimes asked, we are not affiliated with the "International Church of Christ" (a.k.a. "Crossroads Movement"), nor are we connected with the "United Church of Christ" denomination.

Religious division and sectarianism has been the cause of too may problems.  Why can't we just be simply Christians...without all the extra names and classifications?  Good news -- WE CAN!

The members of Christ's church in Galway are not bound by any man-made traditions.  We  strive to teach and practise only that which is found in the pages of Scripture, preaching the grace of God that has been offered to all people (Titus 2:11-14), declaring both the kindness and the severity of God (Romans 11:22).

We echo the God-breathed words penned by the apostle, Peter:

"If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God."  (1 Peter 4:11)

"Má labhraíonn duine, déanadh sé amhlaidh amhail is gur oracail ó Dhia a bhíonn á dtabhairt aige." (1 Peadar 4:11)

The church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Galway, like the churches we can read about in the New Testament, is autonomous.  We are not connected to any governing body nor association.  In following the Biblical model, this makes things a far less complicated.  This will be our only creed book.  Simple Christianity.

We are dedicated to both serving God and serving our fellow human beings.  In partnering with some wonderful Galway chartiable organizations, we have a multitude of opportunities to help and minister to some of the most in-need people in our community.
